Problem

Cereal sales in the UK were declining, with many consumers perceiving it as a dull but convenient breakfast option. While most people still eat cereal, nearly half had never tried mixing different types, largely due to a lack of awareness and inspiration.

Solution

We created a playful brand identity that reimagined cereal mixing as an act of exploration and creativity. By personifying different cereals as distinctive characters, each with their own personality, we brought the idea of “Kombos” to life through humorous and unexpected interactions.

The identity was designed to feel vibrant, quirky, and full of possibility, encouraging consumers to experiment with their breakfast choices. A handcrafted logotype and bold visual system reinforced this playful tone, while the concept extended across digital, social, and packaging to create an engaging and interactive campaign.

At its core, the idea invited audiences to rethink cereal as something dynamic and fun, captured in the line: What would your Kombo do?
